Sailing against the tide

Videos

A day in Rome. It was supposed to have a narration but I thought just images and music was best for this one. An afternoon walk: Villa Farnesina, Trastevere, Church of Santa Dorothea, San Salvatore in Onda. Not the most famous sights in Rome, not a touristic video, just a collection of impressions.
Arrivederci Roma
Notes about socialization, lies, human nature and other silly matters.
Blessed are the autists and conspiracy theorists, for they shall see God
A really weird video about Russian/Eastern European women vs Western women, how the Middle Ages are shown in movies, and the torments of modern public schools. But it all ties up in the end. I think. P. S. I always studied in public school and public universities, and I think basic education benefits at least some people, but there are negative sides too, so I'm putting it up for a debate.
Should public education be abolished?
Just relax and learn to paint (not to code). And other probably equally useless advice. That's all, folks.
How to survive the end of the West
European people are slowly disappearing, but life will go on. Let's play a Requiem for the European people. It's not about hate, it's about love. Peace on Earth to all men of good will.
Requiem for the European People
I'm neither Left nor Right, I'm anti-totalitarianism. In the future, we'll all be Josef K.
(P.S. The Ted Kaczynski thing at the end is a JOKE. Why are people so literal-minded? I'm obviously against violence and extremism, as I actually say in the video.)
The future is Kafka
A commentary on diversity, social relations and the so-called "incel" problem, in the context of themes explored by a very recent TV series called "Adolescence". Sorry for the bad audio and the glitch effects, but otherwise the video would be blocked for copyright breach.
All the lonely white boys: a look at the "Incel" question
From Russian literature to cinema to politics, how we have viewed Russia across the years (and a bit about how they've seen us). Excerpts (more or less in order) are from:
- "Dmitri's meme video" (Russian TV, around 2008),
- "Moscow", 1988, by Swedish director Stefan Quinth
- Bolshoi Ballet in the 1960s, Kinolibrary
- Tverskaya Street, 1896, Charles Moisson, Lumière Films (colourized and enhanced)
- Meeting at Yalta between Churchill, Roosevelt, Stalin, 1945, Pathé newsreel
- "007 - From Russia with Love", Terence Young, UK, 1963
- "The Mirror", Andrei Tarkovsky, 1975
- Scenes from Russia in the 1980s, Kinolibrary
- "Eastern Promises", David Cronenberg, 2017
- "House of Cards", Beau Willimon, 2013-2018
- "Khrustalyov, My Car!", Alexei German, Russia, 1998
- Man in motorcycle with bear, origin and date unknown
- "The Mirror" again.
Under Western Eyes: Russia as seen from the West
Why are we all so addicted to news and political commentary?
